Rail Travel to and from Metro Vancouver

Rail travel to and from Vancouver includes passenger transportation trains, commuter trains, and deluxe tourist trains.

Pacific Central Station is the terminal for the passenger transportation trains VIA Rail and Amtrak Cascades. VIA Rail takes you across Canada. Amtrak Cascades takes you along the Washington and Oregon coast. The station is located at the corner of Main and Terminal in Vancouver, near the Main Street/Science World SkyTrain station. 

The West Coast Express operates five commuter trains during weekday peak periods connecting Mission, Abbotsford Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, and Port Moody with downtown Vancouver. Trains leave Vancouver from Waterfront Terminal, which is also the SeaBus/SkyTrain terminal, just east of Canada Place and the Cruise Ship dock.

Rocky Mountaineer trains depart from the Rocky Mountaineer train station in Vancouver.

Whistler Mountaineer trains travel between North Vancouver and Whistler, departing from the North Vancouver platform.
