Description
The two swing bridges were built in two phases: 1956 (now the eastbound lane) and 1978 (westbound lane). This 4 lane bridge spans 334 m with a speed limit of 80 km/h.

Counter-flow schedule:
From: 5:30 am – 9 am
3 lanes westbound; 1 lane eastbound

From: 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm
3 lanes eastbound; 1 lane westbound

Alternate Routes:
• Port Mann Bridge (proceed on Hwy 1, west)

Annual Average Daily Traffic & Location:
78,000 (2003)

Planned Expansion:
The Pitt River Bridge will be replaced with a new 7-lane (3 westbound, 4 eastbound) bridge. Construction scheduled: 2007-2009.
