Ferries

Surrounded by water, the Lower Mainland relies on ferries as a vital transportation link between the mainland and surrounding islands. Ferry travel between Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands and the Sunshine coast is an economical choice, and has the added benefit of beautiful scenery along the way.

Regional ferry service is provided for passengers and vehicles to approximately 47 ports by BC Ferries from seven terminals:

Tsawwassen
Located just south of downtown Vancouver, at the end of Highway 17 - about 45 minutes.

See the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal on the iMove map*

Horseshoe Bay
Located northwest of downtown Vancouver, just at the intersection of Highway 99 (the Sea to Sky) and Highway 1 - about 30 minutes.

Langdale
