Hwy 7 is also called the Lougheed Hwy.

Location
Travels east-west from the Vancouver/Burnaby border, connecting Burnaby, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Pitt Meadows, and Maple Ridge. Hwy 7 also connects Mission to Agassiz and Hope, where it joins up with Hwy 1.

Description

Consists of 2 - 4 lanes from Burnaby to Mission and 2 lanes from Mission to Hope.

HOV lane available in Pitt Meadows (westbound only) between Harris Rd and Pitt River Bridge.

Occupancy requirement: buses, vanpools, motorcycles, and vehicles with 3 or more persons.

Total length from Burnaby/Vancouver border to Hwy 1 (outside Hope): 141 km.

• Hwy 1 (between Hope & Vancouver)

Annual Average Daily Traffic & Location:
19,151: west of 240 St. (Maple Ridge)

Planned Expansion:
Through the Gateway program, the Pitt River Bridge and approaches to the bridge are being replaced and a new interchange is being constructed for the Mary Hill Bypass (Hwy 7B).
